My kiddo and his words

Every day he learns to put a string of words together. Some days he amazes me and some days I just get flabbergasted. Reminds me of my younger days.. Really younger days.

Let me tell you a story. when I was very very young. I woke up one day and felt like the world was in my palm and I can speak. However no adult understood my sentences. That was when I was a wee toddler learning to speak. Guess what? I still see the same confused faces on my students. LOL

Anyway these are precious moments for me. Last night he said "Mommy, big bus." While pointing at the buses parked in Donggongon. I am slowly trying to add in some more words to his vocab. Like big green bus or something and he tries to repeat. Sweet.

My lil baby now coos and aahs... so much I think he will be the talkative one. Today he did a full 360 degree turn, while on his tummy. Smilingly he looked at me and then coos again. I can be in no better heaven right then and there. My children are amazing.

Merry Christmas to everyone and every children. I hope they get all their dreams come true.

I also turned 32 recently. How does it feel? Old, tired but happy. I am glad to be surrounded by people who love me.

Amazing kan? Yasmin still blows us away everytime she comes out with some cute phrase..like the other day, she said "Oh my goodness! Look at that!" :) My hubby and I berpandangan sambil tercengang. She learnt a lot of words from tv too... get your kids to watch Playhouse Disney... Not Cartoon Network, that one has more 'violence and obscenities'

Happy Birthday by the way!

How did they find a Gem of a Guy?

This blog is not a reference point to give a tried and true method of finding a Gem of a Guy but just a sharing of experience. I have talked to a few friends who had good solid marriages and I summarised what I learned from them in this blog. I wrote it as a continuation to my last blog on why do good girls choose bad boys? Every time I met a friend who had a very steady and good husband I never failed to ask them how they found these guys. The first thing they always say is that they never liked their present husbands initially and that they had other choices whom they preferred more. However their present husbands did not give up pursuing them for months or years. These men did not stop showing them how much they were cared for. These men came to visit the family and genuinely tried to show how they appreciate them in front of their families and friends. These men were not self centered. These men would try and know your likes and dislikes. Eventually the genuine care was evident. ...

Happy Mother's Day!

To all Mothers. Happy Mother's day. I heard from the radio that there was a research done on how much a Mother should get paid if there was something like that. They should get 30K per year. That is for being a cook, house cleaner, carer and at times a psychologist. :) It is hard. I work but I also feel for the mothers who are homemakers. I salute you. I cared for my very sick son for one week at home and the work just does not end for mothers. I am not belittling working mothers for running away from the original responsibilities. I am one myself. I am just saying we should appreciate each other wherever we may be. A mother is a lover to the husband, a house cleaner, a laundry person, a cook, a dishwasher, a carer, a milk making machine, a seamstress, a first aider, a counselor, a giver of life, a DIY expert, and in our some places usually the Breadwinner. Thank you moms for having superhuman strength to do all these. If your kids are still young and nobody thought of giving you a...

Valentine's

Today my first love surprised me with a Valentine's card. It filled my heart almost to popping. I love you My Kiddo. You make me weak and you make me strong. You make me cry and you make me laugh. You make me angry and you tell me to show a happy face.. When I was a teenager, I was a downright Geek.. You were always right Doctor EEEEvil.. I was a Geek. I did not get any flowers, no chocolates or cards on Valentine's day.. This is sooo bloody sad to admit.. hahahha.. Then I went to college and in the world of Geeks.. I became the cool girl. So I had flowers, chocolates, teddy bears and valentine's card. On top of dinner and a movie.. I was spoilt. Thanks ex-bfs for that chance.. hahahhaha.. Then came University. AAAAAaaaah I had soo much anonymous admirers. That was fun guessing. SIGH! Now that I am all grown up and bloomed into.. AHEM.. DOC ROGUE.. The shody-cute simplest pink card with a crayon coloured heart and mozaic angpow tiles makes me feel like a MILLION DOLLARS aaa...
